With Disney’s many franchises and worlds under its umbrellas, it only makes sense for video game adaptations of these brands to reach genres outside action-adventure. Disney has taken advantage of cozier gaming genres for video game adaptations of its animated properties.Disney Dreamlight Valleyacts as Disney’s only current mainline simulation game. It only makes sense forStar Warsand Marvel to follow inDisney Dreamlight Valley’s footsteps.

Though a replica ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyfor either Star Wars or Marvel seems unlikely, these two properties could add some interesting aspects to pre-existing features in the game.Biomes in aStar Wars-themedsimulation game could be based on the universe’s various planets, whereas biomes in Marvel could be even more complex due to the franchise’s installments taking both on and off-world.

However, a more mundane aspect ofDisney Dreamlight Valleycould be spiced up with someStar Warsor Marvel flavoring. First introduced at the beginning ofDisney Dreamlight Valley,Star Warsand Marvel could produce aninteresting take on the Royal Tools.

The four items that make upthe Royal Toolsare a fishing rod, a pickaxe, a watering can, and a shovel. With a little bit of imagination, it’s easy to see what in-universe items fromStar Warsand Marvel could fulfill these roles, or at the very least inspire the tools’ designs.

Marvel’s Version of the Royal Tools

In the case of a Marvel spin-off ofDisney Dreamlight Valley, players could use a fishing rod inspired bySpider-Man’s web shooters. Rather than using them to travel from region to region, the sticky weblike fluid from the shooters could be used to grab items, or in this case, fish.

Thor’s Hammer could be an excellent replacement for a pickaxe. Mjolnir can easily destroy any material that comes across its path, making it perfect when it comes to mining or building. If using Thor’s hammer to clear away rocks seems a bit degrading to the magical item, maybe Mjolnir could act as the end game for the pickaxe tool. The RoyalTools inDisney Dreamlight Valleyare upgradeableand can remove different items upon completing certain quests. Rather than being a starting tool, Mjolnir could be the final level for the pickaxe.

Finding counterparts for a shovel and a watering can for mystical items in the Marvel universe seems a bit difficult at first glance. However, Sylvie uses a Quantum Ore Shovel in theLokiTV series. If the hypothetical Marvel spin-off chose not to use the exact item fromLokiin itsDisney Dreamlight Valley-esque installment, the game could be inspired by the “Quantum” in the object’s name.

The Quantum Realm, or Quantum Zone, is heavily explored throughout the Antman titles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rather than adapting the exact backstory of the Quantum Ore Shovel, the game could make all the tools change size thanks to Pym Particles. Ifthe Quantum Realm/Zonewas an explorable biome in the Marvel edition of aDisney Dreamlight Valleyspin-off, these powers would benefit the game’s story.

Star Wars' Version of the Royal Tools

The most obvious tool in theStar Wars universe isthe mighty lightsaber. A shining weapon powered by kyber crystals, one can picture the weapon’s laser redirected into different shapes. TheStar Warsuniverse has introduced melee weapons similar to lightsabers previously, so changing the shape of the weapon into a pickaxe stands as a possibility.

Plus, this change would be fun. Combat is not a part ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyand likely would not be included in aStar Warsspin-off of the game.Having lightsabers adaptedinto mere tools could be an ironic, yet fun, change.

WithDisney Dreamlight Valley, Star Wars, and Marvel all acting as profitable properties under the Disney umbrella, it only makes sense for spinoffs to occur. Even if these hypothetical games are unlikely, fans can still imagine what could be as they exploreDisney Dreamlight Valley.
