Summary
AStardew Valleyplayer’s hard-earned Perfection cutscene didn’t go as expected, with a glitch rendering the sky completely black.Stardew Valleyfans know how hard it is to reach this level of completion of the game, so many have shared in the player’s disappointment, with some helpfully sharing advice on how it can be fixed.
Stardew Valleylets players enjoy the game as they see fit. Some fans never even leave theirStardew Valleyfarms for years, while others follow a more traditionally structured gameplay path and strive to 100% complete the game. Starting with the 1.5 update, the game added a new “final” cutscene for players to enjoy after theyachieve Perfection inStardew Valley. However, one player wasn’t greeted with what they expected after all their hard work.
Reddit user andStardew Valleyfan socks_sock shared their broken Perfection cutscene where nothing beyond the ground their character was standing on was rendered correctly. Instead of a beautiful sky to look at while the cutscene plays out, nothing but pitch black was shown in the background. The screenshot shared amusingly shows theirStardew Valleyspouse Alexcasually mentioning the beautiful view while staring at the infinite darkness.
Stardew Valley Fans Share Fix for Perfection Cutscene
While some other players were surprised at the unusual glitch, some noted that there’s a fix for theStardew Valleyvisual glitchthat players can try implementing. It seems that playing the game at certain high resolutions or with the screen zoomed out too far can make the background break. One player suggested zooming in a couple times in the game’s settings. However, the solution that worked for socks_sock was taking the game out of maximized full-screen, shrinking the window somewhat. Thankfully, socks_sock hadn’t yet progressed the game to the next day, so they were able to see the moment they had worked towards.
Stardew Valleyplayers who encounter this cutscene glitch should consider using the same tips to fix it. Thankfully, the black screen is still a far cry from the creepy one that appears if a playercheats their way intoStardew Valley’s Summit, but after spending so much time in the game to earn it, players deserve to see the proper Perfection cutscene. Unfortunately, it seems the 1.6Stardew Valleyupdate didn’t fix this issue, but if the game gets further bug fixes or full content updates, hopefully developer ConcernedApe includes a solution to prevent this from happening again.
