Earlier this year, ConcernedApe releasedStardew ValleyUpdate 1.6. This substantial new update added all kinds of new features to the game, attracting plenty of newcomers and drawing in lapsed players eager to check out the fresh content. ConcernedApe took to Twitter to confirm thatStardew ValleyUpdate 1.6.9 will start releasing at 10am PST. Theexacttime may be different depending on platform, but regardless, that’s when fans can start expecting to see the update go live. The update introduceseverything added as part ofStardew ValleyUpdate 1.6to console and mobile, and makes some additional changes that PC gamers will also benefit from.
When is Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Coming to Consoles and Mobile?
After downloading the new update,Stardew Valleyplayers will be able to meet a “new friend” in theSecret Woodsthat will let players pay to get back a lost item. The new update also makes it possible for players to put legendary fish in ponds, place beds and sleep in any constructed buildings that allow furniture, and collect items that are dropped in water using a magnet ring. A previous version of the patch notes confirmed thatSamandShanewould have work portraits while working at JojaMart, and that has been re-confirmed by the updated patch notes along with “slightly tweaked” dialogue and new Easter eggs.
New content may be the most exciting thing about the new update, but there’s plenty more for fans to look forward to as well. The update squashes a slew of lingeringStardew Valleybugs, makes balance changes, and introduces new quality of life features. That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the improvements in the newStardew Valleyupdate. While it’s not as substantial as Update 1.6, thenewStardew Valleyupdateis still significant and should be well-received by fans.
