With the release ofStarfield, Bethesda has given players its first brand-new IP in 25 years. While the studio has churned out numerousThe Elder ScrollsandFalloutadventures,Starfieldwas something new and unique, the likes of which fans of the studio had seen before. Not only did it take the studio’s tried-and-true RPG framework to space, but it also did it without building off of the stories that had come before. However, some players may actually want a bit more connection.

One determinedStarfieldplayer actually spent the time bringingStarfieldcloser to theFalloutfranchise bybuilding the infamous Prydwen in-game. Although both titles are disconnected, this creation has shown some fans the sheer potential for a full-on crossover.Starfieldon a whole seems to be the perfect place for experiences like this, and Bethesda may want to consider leading the charge with its very ownFallout-themed DLC sooner rather than later.

Starfield and Fallout Should Really Consider Crossing Over

Players Would Love Exploring Starfield with Fallout Cosmetics

While Bethesda may have consideredmakingStarfieldandFallouta part of the same universe at first, the studio quickly deviated from that in favor of exploring a whole new version of our universe. However, that lack of connection does not mean that a crossover DLC should be out of the question. The two games would hardly be the first major crossover between completely disconnected IPs, and it would likely not be the last.

ThisFallout-themed DLCcould simply come in the form of unique cosmetics forStarfield. Players could don Vault Dweller suits, fly around in an official Prydwen, and deck out their ships with all sorts of different cosmetic items. Players could be given so many different items to mess around with, from Nuka Cola bottles and Vault-Boy bobbleheads to old computers and Deathclaw horns.

Bethesda could also take it to the next level by actually adding a series ofFallout-themed quests to the game. These could simply be short, loosely connected side quests that reward cosmetics, a larger narrativefilled withFalloutEaster eggs, or something that hints at a connection between the two franchises after all. And if players love it, thenFallout 5could do the same thing forStarfield.

A Crossover Would be the Perfect Way to Capitalize on the Fallout Craze

Not only would aFallout-themed DLC such as this be a fun way forStarfieldplayers to engage with another one of Bethesda’s IPs, but it would also come at a fantastic time. Thanks toAmazon Prime’sFalloutshow, the franchise seems to be in the public eye once more. It will be a while beforeFallout 5launches, but letting players experience this franchise through other titles would be a great way to capitalize on that. Plus, it may even get some fans of the TV show to check outStarfieldin the process.

There is a ton of potential for aFalloutcrossover withStarfield, so hopefully Bethesda is considering doing one. Of course, the studio is mostly focused onThe Elder Scrolls 6andStarfield’s post-launch DLC. So, it all depends on if it can squeeze something like that into its busy schedule. But, if it can, then it really should. Even if it comes in the form of simply a bobblehead or two, players would likely love it.
