While exploring the game’s world, players will need to build their characters using one of six jobs, each with their own unique skills and abilities. Here’s a breakdown of the best jobs for players.
Boomer Job, Explained
The Boomer Job is one of the ranged attackers in the game. However, unlike the Sniper, these characters can deal damage to a group of enemies rather than a singular one, making them pretty useful. They do require cover as they can be pretty easily killed. However, with abilities likeFortify(strengthens their cover),Slot Machine(allows them to equip an extra item), andMine(creates a landmine in front of them), they have some good defensive skills.
Brawler Job, Explained
The Brawler Job is one of the most useful ones. They are the game’s version of a tank, so they are made to take a lot of enemies, and they havesome healing abilities, which will help them stay alive. Additionally, they can deal some massive amounts of damage to the enemies around them, but they can only focus on one at a time. They are what players will want to take with them if they have a large amount of enemies or a boss that they need to take on.
Engineer Job, Explained
The Engineer Job is one of the most important Jobs in the game. They are the buffers and healers of the game, and a large portion of their abilities focus on helping themselves and their crewmates. They are the best support Job in the game by far. The abilityMaintenance Protocolis probably the best skill from this Job as it will heal 4 HP to all crewmates around them, so they can help those offensive close-combat crewmates.
Flanker Job, Explained
The Flanker Job is all about using shotguns to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies. This is a pretty versatile Job, as they can deal with enemies either close up or behind cover. They are the game’s most useful offensive attacker due to this versatility. Additionally, they have some useful mobility abilities, such asSidestep(teleports the character to a new spot) andNimble Feet(adds +1 to the character’s movement). This is the job for people who want versatility and mobility.
Reaper Job, Explained
The Reaper Job is one of the first ones that players will be able to encounter. This is due to the fact that Wesley, one of the tutorial crewmates, is a Reaper by default. They are meant to deal massive amounts of damage to the enemies by using a multi-attack on them. They are able to easily overrun enemies in a short amount of time. However, they do need to have a good about of health items or abilities to ensure that they do not get too overrun by the enemies at the frontline.
Sniper Job, Explained
The Sniper Job is one of the first that players will encounter during the game. In fact, Daisy, one of the first crewmates players recruit, is a Sniper by default (though she can change this. They are built to use cover to focus on dealing heavy damage to their target while minimizing the damage they take. This is the job players will want to take when they are taking on bosses since they deal a lot of damage. However, it is important to remember that they do take some time to reload.
