Steamworld Heist 2’s missions offer much more difficult and in-depth combat than the ship battles. During these missions, you’ll face many enemies and usually only have a set number of crew members and health to manage throughout the mission.
There are a few ways to heal your crew members, though most methods will require sacrificing other utility options for your crew to allow healing. To be able to heal orincrease your crew’s max health, you’ll need to plan ahead and have the right tools for the job; here’s exactly what you’ll need.
How To Increase Maximum Heath In Steamworld Heist 2
The three ways to increase your maximum health:specific sub upgrades,unlocking specific skills in a job skill tree and using utility equipmentthat increases maximum health. There are only a few skills that can increase maximum health, with both being found in the Boomer job tree. They are unlocked at levels two and three and can then be used in other jobs, like other skills,thanks to the Cogs system. The necessary sub upgrades to increase maximum health for the whole crew will be unlocked as you progress through the main story, and can be purchased with Fragments.
Another option isequipping utility gear that increases your maximum health like Reinforced Plating. There are multiple tiers of this item, letting players find them and further increase their maximum health later in the game beyond what the first option offers. These utility items are usually purchased fromshops using Gallonsand can sometimes be found when completing missions.
The number of Utility Equipment slots can be upgraded periodically by purchasing the Utility Belts upgrade in the Sub Upgrades menu, with more options being available as you progress through the story.
How To Heal In Steamworld Heist 2
Just like increasing your maximum health, healing can be done by skills or utility equipment. Utility equipment that heals has a few restrictions to how many times it can be used during a single mission:
These utility equipment options can be purchased at stores, and a Utility Equipment slot will be taken up on that character you equip it to. For those trying to save those slots, some jobs can learn healing skills,such as the Engineer’s Maintenance Protocol skill. TheBrawler’s Adrenaline skillalso heals only that character but is another useful option available very early on. Better utility gear will be found as you progress the story, with the number of uses and amounts being repaired increasing with the higher tier options.
