SteelSeries just revealed a limited-edition collection ofWorld of Warcraft: The War Withingaming peripherals that also include some in-game rewards. Though not yet available, fans will soon be able to pick up a headset, headphone speaker plates and headbands, a special keycap, and a mousepad inspired by the newWorld of Warcraftexpansion.
The War Within,World of Warcraft’s tenth expansion, is nearly here. The full release is scheduled for August 26, but players whopre-purchased the Epic Edition ofWorld of Warcraft: The War Withincan begin playing early, starting at 3 PM PDT on August 22.
To celebrate the expansion and the game’s impending 20th anniversary,World of Warcrafthas partnered up with SteelSeries to create a new collection of gaming peripherals. There are six items in total: an Arctis Nova 7 headset, the Aerox 9 mouse, Alliance and Horde-themed headset speaker plates and headband sets, an artisan keycap featuringthe sword of Sargeras fromWorld of Warcraft, and a mousepad inspired byThe War Within’s cinematic trailer. What’s more, each item is paired with one of three in-game digital rewards for fans who purchase them: the Grinning Reaver, Lil' Flameo, and the Savage Ebony Battle Turtle.

The Grinning Reaver was aWarlords of Draenor-era cash shop mount that was removed in 2019, but it can now be obtained by buying the Arctis Nova 7 headset. Lil’ Flameo, a recolor of the Lil’ Maggz Pit Lord battle pet previously on sale in the cash shop, will be gifted to players who purchase the Aerox 9 mouse. The Savage Ebony Battle Turtle is a recolor of the blue and red versions previously available viathe Trading Post inWorld of Warcraft, and is acquired by purchasing any of the other four peripherals.

It remains to be seen if the digital items featured during this promotion will be available through other means once the SteelSeries collection is out of stock. They could arrive through future Trading Post catalogs,World of WarcraftTwitch Drops, or other promotions if they do reappear. Players who want any of these items might want to consider picking up the associated peripherals, as there is no guarantee they will return.
