With the release of the PS5 Pro around the corner, Shift Up decided to detailStellar Blade’s new Update 1.008, which focuses on enhancing the game for Sony’s new console model. According to the developer, the PS5 Pro version of the game will allow players to pick enhanced options such as Pro and Pro Max, with Pro being akin to the current Balance mode, and Pro Max focusing on very high frame rates. While the patch notes for the update were initially unveiled last month, this new announcement showcases images of the enhanced game for the first time, comparing scenes of the title running normally on PS5 and with the PS5 Pro Max option turned on. Gamers playing on the normal PS5 will only get bug fixes from the update, however.
Stellar Blade Devs Showcase PS5 Pro Update
While this is an exciting update for PS5 Pro owners, it’s far from the only one prepared forStellar Blade. At the moment, gamers are still waiting for the addition of Photo Mode to the popular action game, which drew criticism from some fans due to it being announced months ago, but not yet released. Sometime later in 2024,Stellar BladeandNier: Automatawill have a crossover DLC, which will likely bring more story content and cosmetics to the title.
Beyond more updates and the crossover DLC,Shift Up has confirmed thatStellar Bladewill get a PC port. The port will likely have graphic capabilities similar to the PS5 Pro version ofStellar Blade, and it’s expected to be released “in the near future.” However, it’s unclear whether that means that fans will see it in 2024. It’s also very likely that Shift Up is already working on aStellar Bladesequel, which could be developed using Unreal Engine 5, according to recent rumors that appeared after the company posted job listings online.
