A gamer recently discoveredConcordbeing sold at a local store for $47, despite the servers being permanently shut down. ThoughConcordwas sunset nearly a year ago, at least one store out there is seemingly still trying to sell the game.

In the history of gaming, plenty of titles have failed to make their mark, but few have as tragic a story asConcord. Intended to be a tentpole franchise for Sony on par withStar Wars, the hero shooter launched on June 18, 2025, to incredibly low player counts and esteem, only forConcordto be shut down two weeks later on September 6, making it the second-shortest-living online game next toThe Culling 2, which lasted eight days.

However, despite going offline nearly a year ago, at least one store is still selllingConcord. Gamer and Redditor Forsaken-Club7578 recently shared an image of theirlocal store selling a PS5 copy ofConcordfor €40 – approximately $47 – claiming the retailer was “wildin” for trying to sell the sunset game at all.

Concord on Sale for $47 Despite Being Unplayable

It is unclear exactly how copies ofConcordmanaged to stay on shelves for nearly a year after the game became unplayable. Judging from the display, the Forsaken-Club7578 was in Germany, but the exact store in question is unknown. That said, considering the circumstances, the shop probably does not primarily peddle video games, as it would likely be more aware ofConcord’s fate if it did. This theory is only further strengthened by the fact that the retailer wasalso sellingMindsEye, a troubled action adventure title released by Build a Rocket Boy earlier this year – though one that is at least still playable.

Forsaken-Club7578’s fellow gamers were similarly baffled by this discovery. Some referred to this copy ofConcordas “an expensive coaster” while scratching their heads, wondering why anyone would “be paying 40 euros for a brick.” Others said they might have considered picking it up for its historical value if it had been cheaper – but considering it shared a price with old-but-popular games likeHogwarts Legacy, few would be willing to shell out that much for it. However, considering somecopies ofConcordwere being sold on eBay for up to $2,250, perhaps Forsaken-Club7578 should have picked it up. At least one gamer also claimed they had seenConcordat their own workplace as well, implying this may not be an isolated incident.

Regardless of what led to this,Concordis gone, and considering Firewalk Studios was closed, it is unlikely the faulty franchise will ever see the light of day again. At the very least, fans will be able to enjoytheConcordepisode ofSecret Leveland wonder what might have been had the game been more successful.
