Summary
Although the cast and crew have stayed pretty silent about what to expect fromStranger Thingsseason 5, there’s no doubt that thefinal season will have adventure, friendship stories, and surprising moments. Ever since theNetflixseries premiered in 2016, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her friends have bonded, grown up before viewers eyes, and done their best to fight evil in Hawkins, Indiana. Now they’re getting ready forthe fight of their lives against Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).
Whilefans want to see certain characters, they also have thoughts aboutthe plotlines they’d rather not see inStranger Thingsseason 5. Everyone has high hopes that the ending will be just as incredible as they have imagined. It’s definitely going to be tough to keep waiting to finally see what happens.
Fans Hope These Elements Aren’t Included In Stranger Things Season 5
Redditor @Due_Improvement_5699 started athreadaboutStranger Thingsseason 5 and shared a thought that many viewers agree with. They wrote:
“I mainly hope that they don’t split the group up again just for them to interact once all in the last episode.”
While everyone thinkstheStranger Thingsseason 4 finalewas well-done,the fourth season saw the characters fighting Vecna or dealing with their personal problems without spending much time together.Since the theme of the show has always been the power of friendship, this shouldn’t be repeated in the new season. Although each character needs to find their own path forward, they should still appreciate and recognize that their friendships are important.
Several viewers agreedthere should be no time travel inStranger Thingsseason 5. One fan mentioned there could be becausethe Upside Down is stuck in 1983. This is tricky because, on the one hand, it makes sense if the final season explores the past and answers everyone’s burning questions. However, on the other hand, fans want to see current-day Hawkins.
Fromwhether Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) could stop Vecnatothis awful character’s plotline, fans also have thoughts aboutthe villains inStrangerThingsseason 5. Redditor @MGD109 wantsthe Mind Flayer and Vecna to be two different villainsand hopes the series doesn’t explain that they are tied together. The fan wrote:
“It also forms a nice dark reflection on the series' themes of groups together to overcome greater adversities.”
Redditor @DarthDuran22 hopes thatVecna stays eviland wrote:
“Henry having a redemption. I’m okay with him remaining a horrible monster right up to his defeat and think it doesn’t really serve the story much if he does pull a random redemption.”
Overall, it’s clear that fans enjoyStranger Thingsbecause ofthe relationships between the characters, the humorous and eerie tone, and the mystery of the Upside Down.Stranger Thingshas always had a tone unlike any other series. Viewers also like that the characters genuinely care about each other. While this could be cheesy on another show, it feels just right here.
Stranger Thingscan’t waste any time, and considering the huge fanbase that formed as soon as season 1 became available on Netflix, it would be a shame not to give the fans what they want. Although the long run time means big moments and epic scenes, especially involving Vecna, there should also besome smaller character moments.
