Aquarius
Asthe Water Bearer Spirit, Aquarius is an all-powerful celestial being with complete mastery over the element of water. With her magical urn, she can channel water into all sorts of devastating attacks, and Water Pillar is one such spell in her arsenal.
By swinging her urn, Aquarius siphons a tsunami of water and strikes her target from below by erecting a pillar of water. As the strongest Zodiac spirit, it comes as no surprise that Aquarius’s water magic spells are some of the most potent ones in the series. However, her powers still pale in comparison to other water mages.
Juvia Lockser
Water Lock was one of the very first water spells to be revealed in the series, and while it was easily countered byGray’s Ice Magic, it still showcased immense potential as an offensive spell. With her Water Make magic, Juvia can form a sphere of water, trapping her victims inside and suffocating them.
Escaping Water Lock is no simple feat, as most mages would normally succumb to the sphere and drown. Ice Magic is one of the few magics in the series that can counter this spell by freezing the entire sphere, a technique that Gray employed to escape.
Episode 307 “Gray and Juvia”
Since Juvia is one of the two actual water mages inFairy Tail, most of the series’ strongest water spells can be found in her arsenal. Water-Make: Blood is one such spell that holds immense value for Juvia, even saving the life of Gray on one occasion.
Water-Make: Blood allows Juvia to control the water inside her blood, in turn allowing her to transfuse her blood into another person’s body. While this spell can save her allies from blood loss, using this spell comes at the price of risking her own life.
Juvia Lockser, Meredy
Unison Raid is a type of fusion magic that allows two mages with mutual trust to merge their magic power for a devastating spell. Maguilty Water is a similar power that stems from Juvia’s Water Magic and Meredy’s Maguilty Sense power, resulting in a flurry of sensory and water blades that impale their opponents.
Since Unison Raid combines the magic power of both mages, the strength behind Maguilty Water’s blades is rather intense. This is evident from the fact that Maguilty Water was able to defeat Zancrow and Keyes, two dark mages who possessFire God Slayer Magicand Curses, respectively.
Lucy Heartfilia
Celestial Spirit Mages possess the ability to acquire their spirits’ magic powers by placing the gate key in question on their chest, which then grants the user their spirit’s Star Dress.Wielded by Lucy Heartfilia, Aqua Storm is a water spell that stems from a mix of Aquarius and Scorpio’s Star Dresses, meaning the spell comprises both Water and Sand Magic.
With Aqua Storm, Lucy can create a potent swirl of water and sand, which then lashes her enemies with a devastating blow. The spell was strong enough to rip through a wood golem, showcasing the intensity and force behind this seemingly simple spell.
Faris, Selene
Aqua Aera is a spatial power that utilizes water as a medium to open up portals to different worlds. The spell has been used by two mages in the100 Years QuestSequel:the White Mage Farisand the Moon Dragon God Selene.
Faris was able to travel from her home world of Elentear to Earthland through Aqua Aera’s power. Aqua Aera has no direct offensive capabilities, yet it still stands as one of the strongest spells inFairy Tail, largely due to its ability to grant users interdimensional travel. The spell can still be used for offensive purposes, such as trapping opponents in another world indefinitely.
Mercphobia
Fairy Tail 100 Years Questhas introduced all manner of powerful characters, and out of these new additions, Mercphobia is arguably the strongest one. Known as the Water Dragon God, Mercphobia wields the rare Water Dragon Slayer Magic, meaning his water spells are naturally some of the strongest inFairy Tail.
His strongest water spell is Water Dragon’s Roar, which allows him to gather a large volume of water that he can thrust at his opponents. Mercphobia’s Dragon Roar was able to overpowerNatsu’s Fire Dragon Roar, a feat that clearly indicates his superior power and the potency of Water Dragon Slayer Magic.
