The themed events gave players the chance to get various items and statues based on the characters from these titles, along with boosting the amount of medals players earned. With the release ofMario and Luigi: Brothershipon the Nintendo Switch, players can participate in an event centered around the game that gives new content and themed rewards.

Just like the other celebrations, this newSuper Mario Runeventwill run for a limited time, where clearing missions will get the player closer to getting three in-game statues. These statues are based onMario and Luigi’s appearances inBrothership, along with new NPC characters Connie and Snoutlet. The statues are the pairings of Mario and Connie, Luigi and Snoutlet, and the Mario brothers together. This in-game event will be available until Jul 17, 2025.

Some of the special missions that will get players closer to earning these statues include Clearing World 1-1 without defeating any Goombas or collecting 1500 coins in World Tour. Some missions are forSuper Mario Runcoursesthat are unavailable without purchasing them, but if a player links their Nintendo account, certain courses can be unlocked and played without purchase. Certain mission-eligible courses like 2-1, 3-3, 4-2, and 5-1 will be unlocked for free during the event.

Mario and Luigi:Brothershipis the firstMario and Luigigame developed following the closure of its original developer, AlphaDream, meaning it has a lot of anticipation and hype behind it.
