Teamfight Tacticsis fully diving into theArcaneuniverse with its upcoming set, aptly named “Into the Arcane.” The Riot Games auto-battler has already featured characters from the award-winning series back in 2021, but this will be the first time thatTeamfight Tacticswill fully lean into it with the release ofArcaneseason 2.
Dubbed by Riot as “the mostArcaneset ever,” theTeamfight Tacticsdevelopers wanted to create an immersive experience that blends strategic gameplay and rich storytelling. Peter Whalen, game director ofTeamfight Tactics, said that the team set out to capture the essence of the show, allowing players to create their own versions ofArcane’s storyin each game, especially with the 10 exclusive Into the Arcane champions.

In previous sets,Teamfight Tacticshas included exclusive champions like Inkborn Fable’s Kabuko andArcane’s Silco in Gizmos and Gadgetsand Runeterra Reforged. This is Riot’s way of expandingLeague of Legends' universe through the popular auto-battler, as well as creating new characters without depending on the current roster of champions.
With Into the Arcane,Teamfight Tacticscreated its biggest pool of exclusive characters to date, including characters fromArcane’sfirst and second seasons, like Powder, Vander, Sevika, and Smeech. Whalen called this set a type of “fan fiction,” where players can build the teams they want without worrying about spoilers. More importantly, the champions' traits and abilities are similar to how they’re presented inArcane. Likewise, Into the Arcane will showcase the comeback of Silco and theTeamfight Tacticsdebut ofnewLeague of Legendschampion Ambessa.
Teamfight Tactics: Into the Arcane Exclusive Characters
Family:Mostly made up ofArcaneseason one’s beloved Zaunite family, consisting of siblings Powder and Violet, and their adoptive father, Vander.
Powder and Violet can be played alongside their older selves, Jinx and Vi, as they share traits with them.
Enforcer:The members of Caitlyn’s strike team are introduced inArcaneseason 2.
Chem-Baron:They are a coalition of landlords, crime bosses, factory owners, and corporate tycoons working together to maintain order in Zaun.
Firelight:Agroup of Zaunites led by Ekkodedicated to destroying Silco’s Shimmer operation.
