Elliott-Fullam-Terrifier-3-Jonathan

Elliott Fullam’s Jonathan is a popular legacy character inTerrifier 3, and it could be argued that it probably wouldn’t be a pleasant experience for fans to see him die on screen, but to literally not show any of his death was strange. There is a feeling among fans that the death should be totally retconned, and Jonathan should return in the upcoming sequel, which has already been confirmed to be in the works.

Terrifier 3’s ultraviolencereaches a crescendo when Sienna is being brutally tortured byArt the Clownand Vicky Heyes. The killer pair decide it’s time to open the Christmas presents, and of course, this particular tradition has a rather gnarly nature to it when it involves two supernatural serial killers. The pair reveal a cage full of rats feasting on a skull, which was a particularly gruesome reveal, even by their standards. They initially tell Sienna that the rat’s latest snack is actually Gabbie’s head. However, they soon change their minds to reveal it’s actually her brother, Jonathan, with the skull wearing the college student’s signature glasses.

Leading up to Jonathan’s supposed death, Sienna had convinced him that Art the Clown was still alive, and he was set to return to Miles County, with their uncle due to pick him up. Something happened to Jonathan off-screen, but its unclear exactly what that was. Was he kidnapped? Maybe he lost his glasses while escaping from Art the Clown and Vicky, or maybe he actually did get killed, and that is the end of the road for the character.

Jonathan’s Death Should Be Retconned Or Revealed To Be A Fake Out In Terrifier 4

Jonathan’s death was very strange as there wasn’t any build of suspense to suggest he was even in any immediate danger. Sure, Art the Clown did brutally murder his college roommate, Cole, and his true crime podcaster girlfriend, Mia, but there was never any actual proof of an attack on Jonathan. If Jonathan really is dead, it would be a hugely disappointing way for a popular character to bow out of the horror franchise.Fans are used to witnessing their beloved characters die on screen in theTerrifierfranchise, and nobody is spared from this particular outcome appearing on-screen.Chances are, this isTerrifier 3’s director, Damien Leonedoing a fake out, and Jonathan is very much alive.

Art and Vicky already lied about the skull belonging to Gabbie, so it’s beyond the realm of possibility that they also lied about it belonging to Jonathan, and it’s safe to say they had a big enough collection of skulls to use to trick Sienna into thinking it belonged to Jonathan. However,if Jonathan actually did die off-screen, and there is no fake out, it would be wise to retcon this death, and give fans another opportunity to connect with him inTerrifier 4.If he does return, and has to die, it should at least happen on screen this time. It felt like Jonathan was sidelined inTerrifier 3as he was away at college, so if he really was killed off, it would feel like a disservice to the character. Also, if Art and Vicky were really going to kill Jonathan, why wouldn’t they do it in front of Sienna to get a reaction from her? Something doesn’t feel right about Jonathan’s ‘death’ and it’s looking more likely than not that he’ll be back in the upcoming sequel.
