7Blackthorn
Kompact 92
TheKompact 92is the final SMG unlock inBlack Ops 6, requiring level 49, a relatively late unlock requirement when compared to the other weapons in the game. The camo in question is theBlackthorncamo, and is the second special camo for the Kompact 92. To unlock this camo, players must first unlock all military camos, and then get 30 kills shortly after sprinting.
The Blackthorn camo is unique and creative, its name likely coming from the real-life type of camouflage of the same name. It sports an almost horror-inspired design, with a black thicket on a white background. Interestingly, certain components of the weapon have their original black color covered with a red tint. This adds to the somewhat ominous or eerie design of the camo.
6Chromed Out
Marine SP
TheMarine SPis the only pump-action shotgun inBlack Ops 6, sporting high damage in close quarters and satisfying pump-action gameplay. Players can unlock theChromed Out camoafter completing all military camos and then getting 30 kills shortly after sprinting, much like the aforementioned Kompact 92.
The Chromed Out camo design is apt for a shotgun, covering the gun in bright and bold text that reads “Speed Demon”. Given the high-speed nature of shotgun gameplay, especially inBlack Ops 6with the inclusion of omnimovement, the Speed Demon text on the camo is certainly an accurate description.
5Vengeance
AK-74
TheAK-74is an AK variant, a staple of not just theCall of Dutyseries, but first-person shooter games and action media in general. The vengeance camo can be unlocked in the special camo category, after completing all military camo challenges and then getting 20 kills with an AK-74 under-barrel grenade launcher.
Not only does the challenge prompt a unique playstyle from players, but the weapon camo itself is highly unique. It is another horror-inspired design, featuring a ghoulish facade over the gun. The unique aspect, however, is the high-contrast red coloration on a large portion of the weapon, providing an instantly recognizable and memorable design.
4Afterlife
Universal
Black Ops 6contains an array of mastery camos in both multiplayer and Zombies, withWarzonemastery camos slated for release alongside season one and theWarzoneintegration. One of the most standout mastery camos in the game is theAfterlife Zombies Mastery camo,requiring players to achieve Opal camo on every weapon, and then complete the weapon-specific Afterlife camo challenge.
The Afterlife camo is an animated camo, a consistent theme among all the Mastery camos beyond Diamond or its equivalent. Afterlife feels very themed to Zombies, with the bright blue accenting reminiscent of Element 115. The rotating blue symbols offer a lot of visual flair, standing out atop the rocky gray base layer.
3Permafrost
LW3A1 Frostline
TheLW3A1 Frostlineis the base sniper rifle unlocked inBlack Ops 6, sporting a fast fire rate and aim-down sight speed. To unlock thePermafrost camo, players must first complete all the military camo challenges, before getting 2 kills without reloading 10 times whilst using the Frostline.
The Permafrost camo is incredibly thematic, and is also a pun on the name of the gun. It features a cool blue coloration with white accenting, providing players with an aesthetic that evokes feelings of the cold. The camo also features tall trees, silhouetted against the colors, likely inspired by locations like the Alps and other snowy forested regions.
2Teddy Is A Liar
C9
TheC9is the base SMG inBlack Ops 6, and the first along the Prestige track to receive a unique Prestige camo, along with a full visual overhaul. In order to unlock theTeddy Is A Liar camo,players must reach Prestige One and level along the Prestige One unlock track. Players need not use the C9; instead, they just have to gain experience as normal in order to increase their level.
Teddy Is A Liar is an incredibly unique camo, featuring not just a paint job, but also a full cosmetic overhaul, akin to Mastercraft weapons from pastCall of Dutytitles. The C9 takes on the form of the Thompson from CoD:World At War, an incredibly famous WW2-era submachine gun. The new chassis of the C9 is then covered with ethereal hand prints and depicts a WW2 zombie on the body of the weapon. The references to the Zombies mode are not just visual, however, as the name of the weapon also references a common phrase found on the walls of many Zombies maps.
1Diamond
Diamond camois a staple of theCall of Dutyfranchise, unlocked by acquiring Gold camo on every gun in a weapon category and then completing the weapon-specific Diamond camo challenge. The Diamond camo was first introduced inBlack Ops 2and has been a staple across theBlack Opsseries ever since, sporting multiple varied designs but with its unlock requirement remaining consistent and iconic.
TheBlack Ops 6Diamond camo harkens back to the original iteration of Diamond. It features a Gold base, with the rest of the weapon covered in a mass amount of small diamonds, creating an incredibly flashy and eye-catching appearance. Diamond camo is instantly recognizable, and provides a solid incentive for players to utilize every gun in a weapon category, whether they simply want to unlock Diamond or later adorn their weapon with the camo as they approach later mastery challenges.
