Where To Find The Katana In The Forest
The Katana can be found sticking out of the body of an unfortunate passengerinside Cave 1 (Dead Cave).To find the cave, look for the North Facing mountain. This mountain is the biggest thing on the island and can be spotted from almost everywhere. Once you have it in your sights, head toward it, gopast the sinkhole, and head for the large lake that runs through the middle of the island. You don’t need to cross the lake, instead,head east along the shorelineuntil you reach a handful of randomly dotted boulders in a clearing. Once you reach these boulders, head right onto the top of the hill, and you’ll see arope that you can climb downto enter the cave.
This isn’t the only entrance to Cave 1, but it is by far theeasiest way to get the Katana. The other way into the cave requires you totake on some challenging mutants.

How To Use The Katana Effectively In The Forest
The Katana is avery powerful weaponthat has two attack modes; astandard attack and a power attack. The power attack, while it does cost more stamina, deals considerably more damage than the standard attack. However, due to the time it takes to swing the Katana, using the power attack leaves the player vulnerable to follow-up enemy attacks.
Thepower attack should only really be used when there are only one or two enemies. Any more than that, and it’s easy for the player to get overwhelmed.
you may also block with the Katana, which can help tonegate damagetaken from enemies.
