Demon Slayeris officially back in Japan, with the screening of the first chapter of the Infinity Castle trilogy,Akaza Returns. It’s the biggest movie ofthe summer anime season, marking the beginning of the end of Tanjiro Kamado’s journey. While it’s currently breaking records in Japan, international fans will have to wait for a few more weeks to watch the three major fights happening in Akaza Returns.

Speaking of fights, one Hashira will be denied a proper fight in the Infinity Castle arc. While this Hashira took a backseat in the Swordsmith Village Arc,Demon Slayerfans expected them to wield their weapon again in the most brutal arc of the series. Unfortunately, this Hashira’s long-awaited big fight set in the Infinity Castle won’t happen, which could disappoint some fans.

The Major Fights Happening in Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle Arc

Five Crucial Battles Set in Infinity Castle

Themost important battles inDemon Slayerhappen in Infinity Castle, where the forces of good and evil are set to face each other in one long, decisive night. Fans have been waiting for the longest time to see the most explosive fights in the series since Muzan Kibutsuji attacked Tanjiro’s family in the mountains. It’s been six years of waiting, but the first movie in the Infinity Castle arc is finally here.

Based on the trailer alone, the first movie, Akaza Returns, is going to show off three major battles between Muzan’s underlings and the demon slayers, including the Hashira and two of the main trio. While theInsect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, will confront Upper Moon Two, Doma, the Water Hashira, along with Tanjiro Kamado, will get a chance to avenge the late Flame Hashira, Rengoku Kyojuro, against his killer, Upper Moon Three, Akaza.

Additionally, Zenitsu Agatsuma is all set to fight a familiar face—Kaigaku. Aside from these three major battles, the succeeding Infinity Castle movies will definitely show Kanao and Inosuke’s participation in the Doma fight. Of course, the movies wouldn’t be complete without the long-awaited showdown with Upper Moon One, Kokushibo, as well as Mitsuri and Obanai’s encounter withUpper Moon Four, Nakime.

Infinity Castle Robbed the Sound Hashira of a Proper Battle

No Real Fight for the Flashiest Hashira in Infinity Castle

Bad news forSound Hashira fans, as Uzui Tengenwon’t get a real fight in the Infinity Castle story arc, unless the anime changes his fate from the source material. As much as fans would love to see him wielding his dual Nichirin cleavers again, that’s not going to happen in the final battle based on the Demon Slayer manga. However, that doesn’t mean Uzui won’t appear in the movie.

The main reasonwhy Uzui won’t be in the Infinity Castlefighting upper moons like he did in the Entertainment District is simple: he already left his post as a Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps. Therefore, Nakime likely considered Uzui irrelevant, considering he wasn’t an active Hashira anymore, which was why he was never transported to the Infinity Castle in the first place. Or it’s possible that Nakime failed to track him down with her eyeball familiars.

I am a god! You three are trash!—Uzui Tengen to the main trio.

Either way, Uzui Tengen won’t be able to support his fellow Hashira in the crucial battle against the upper moons in the Infinity Castle. Make no mistake, he won’t be useless, despite his absence in the Infinity Castle. The flashiest Hashira, along with another retired Hashira, is ready to give up his life for one important role in the story arc.

Where Is Uzui Tengen in the Infinity Castle Arc?

The Sound Hashira’s New Role

As mentioned above, Uzui Tengen is expected to take a backseat from thedangerous fights in the Infinity Castle arc. Instead of getting a real fight with upper moons like Akaza, Doma, or even Kokushibo in the Infinity Fortress, fans will likely see him on the surface, protecting the late master’s successor, Kiriya Ubuyashiki.

While Kiriya and his siblings work tirelessly to support the demon slayers who are putting their lives on the line in Infinity Castle, Uzui Tengen and Rengoku Kyojuro’s father, Shinjuro, vowed to guard them with their lives, not just to bring honor to their names, but also to follow the many demon slayers, especially Kyojuro, who lost their lives fighting for the good. It’s almost as if Uzui will be part of the Demon Slayer Corps’ final defense against Muzan if all things fail.

All in all, even though the Sound Hashira won’t pick up his dual cleavers again to vanquish demons, his role in protecting the new leader of the Corps proves his battle is just different, but not yet over inDemon Slayer.
