Titan Quest 2 doesn’t have a traditional class system that you choose when you first make your character.During the prologue of the game, you get to choose which two Masteries you want to select, which will determine your class for the rest of the game.
There is a lot of flexibility in how you build your character after this decision, but the Masteries you choose are the most important decisions you’ll make in the game. There are four Masteries to choose from, here are the highlights of each one to help you plan your perfect build.
Every Mastery in Titan Quest 2
There are four Masteries in the game at the time this article is being written, and theclass your character becomes is determined by the two Masteries you choose. Your class name overall doesn’t have much meaning behind it, as your Masteries determine everything. You’ll have access toboth of the skill treesfor the Masteries you chose, and from there, you can upgrade them in any order you want to build your character. The four available Masteries are:
Highlights
Earth
Gets access to fire and earth spells. Fire spells have a chance of igniting enemies for damage over time, while earth spells can either slow or stun enemies. A lot of spells in this mastery are great for dealing with groups.
Rogue
Move quickly around the battlefield, dealing large amounts of damage to individual enemies. A lot of skills also deal with various status effects, helping you debuff and further take down enemies outside of just attacking.
Storm
Gets access to ice and lightning spells. These are also great for dealing with groups, and ice spells have a chance at briefly freezing enemies.
Warfare
Warfare has a heavy focus on straightforward melee combat, dealing large amounts of damage to individuals or groups. There are also a few ways to boost armor for the caster and their allies, making it harder to take this Mastery down in combat.
Every time you level up, you’ll get Attribute Points, Active Points, and Passive Points. you may choose to upgrade your various skill trees however you want, and the buffs across Masteries will boost the skills of the other Mastery you chose as long as the keywords match. As you progress the main story and continue to level up, you’ll getDivinity Points which can be applied to one of your Masteries to later unlock Active and Passive skillshigher up on the tree.
You also have a Core Skill tree to upgrade your basic attack, dodge, and barrier.
How to Respec in Titan Quest 2
When it comes to the actual Passive and Active skill points you invest into your various skill trees, you canrespec these at any time. Simply open up your Masteries page in your menu and click on the"Respec Mode" button in the bottom right of the screen. From here, you’re able to add or subtract your skill points however you see fit, though every point moved will cost Gold to do so, with the final price being determined by how many points you move where.
Can you Change Masteries in Titan Quest 2?
At the time of writing,there is no known way to change your Masteriesafter choosing them. In the firstTitan Quest, you’re decisions were set in stone, though also like that game, you have multiple character slots that you’re able to use to try out different Mastery combinations without losing the progress of your original character.
