A day later, the Amazon-owned streaming service suspended his channel. Trainwreckstv promptly shared some frustrations with this turn of events on social media, noting how he hasn’t beenbanned from Twitchin over half a decade, which is why he feels he should have been cautioned before having hisRustevent interrupted. “A warning would’ve been great,” Trainwreckstv wrote in a November 9 tweet.
Trainwreckstv Was Banned From Twitch For ‘User Spam’
The content creator’s statement also included a screenshot of his ban notice, which reveals that his channel was suspended for “user spam.” According to theTwitch community guidelines, this can include everything from intrusive self-promotion and intensive chatbot activity to excessive in-stream alerts and requests for viewers to spam other channels. The streaming service did not elaborate on what exactly Trainwreckstv did to warrant the ban, and neither did the content creator publicly speculate about the reasons for it.
Trainwreckstv’s Twitch Ban Was Lifted Earlier Than Expected
Although the suspension was planned to be in effect for three days, it was already lifted by the early morning hours ET on November 10. Trainwreckstv subsequently thanked his fans for their support in this matter, referencing his original complaint about the ban, which amassed over 610,000 views and hundreds of comments and retweets in the first 19 hours of being shared. In doing so, he has suggested that this attention had something to do with the suspension being lifted ahead of time.
Trainwreckstv hence intends to resume hisRustevent circa 9am ET later today, November 11, having said as much in a recent update.
