Twitchstreamer and VTuber Ironmouse has raised a staggering $1.3 million USD for the Immune Deficiency Foundation in a charity campaign. The effort has now greatly exceeded the original goal theTwitchstreamer set of a mere $10,000 USD.

Over the years since their popularity began to really take off, streamers have done a great deal for a wide variety of charities. Whether hosting individual streams or banding together, streamer communities have come together to pour funds onto worthy causes, like the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which CDawgVA previously raised $500,000 for, orAsmongold raising just shy of $400,000 for Ukraine.

Now, the Twitch star Ironmouse has reached a whopping $1,323,917 USD for the Immune Deficiency Foundation. The formerVShojomember’s original goal was to raise $10,000, but that goal was quickly smashed by her fervent fans. This foundation in particular is important to Ironmouse and her followers, as the group helps people diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency to receive lifesaving care and treatments that improve their quality of life. Ironmouse herself has been diagnosed with common variable immunodeficiency, but recent incidents have also spurred her followers to take action.

Why Ironmouse is Raising Funds for the Immune Deficiency Foundation

This isn’t the first time that Ironmouse has worked to raise funds for this foundation, but that’s part of the problem. Previously, Ironmouse was affiliated with VTuber group VShojo, and raised an impressive $500,000 USD for the foundation. However, the money was supposed to be handed over by her agency, VShojo, and never was. This discovery, as well as some additional issues, ledIronmouse to abruptly quit VShojo. The group has subsequently suffered a complete collapse, with its VTubers quitting, and the group ultimately shutting down.

Following this discovery and announcement, Ironmouse opened this fundraiser in an effort to help make up for the money that was never properly donated by VShojo.Ironmouse is a top Twitch streamer, and her fans clearly wanted to support both her and the cause that has helped her and others like her in the past. According to the Tiltify fundraising platform, these funds will be handed over directly to the foundation as they’re made, so donators shouldn’t have to worry about a repeat of history. While it’s unfortunate that the charity didn’t receive the half million it was promised from VShojo, it’s now gotten far more than that, and the charity fundraiser is ongoing, so the number could continue to go up.
