Since Stardust Racers is a dual-launch coaster, riders will board a comet and race against a competing ride vehicle. One of the key traits of the ride is the Celestial Spin, in which the two vehicles crisscross over each other as they race over the tracks. Fitting the theme of comets, the ride also includes no external track lighting, lit by the vehicles alone.
