Although many players have spent a lot of time playing the Hidetaka Miyazaki-directed game, oneElden Ringplayer in particular recently found their in-game hours totaling a century’s worth of time.
On Reddit, user GrandTheftMeme shared that the PS App shows they have logged in 939,110 hours (approximately, 107 years) inElden Ring. This stat is obviously down to an error, possibly a bug in the PS App, which theElden Ringplayer stumbled upon. In one of the replies, they mentioned having three different saves with 566 hours, 40 hours, and 1 hour logged in, saying they were unsure if the error came from transferringPlayStation save data using their USB driveearlier. They revealed encountering a similar issue in July, which increased their playtime to 458,484 hours, before the latest run-in with the bug further boosted it.

TheElden Ringplayer’s incredibly inflated playtime attracted various amusing responses from others on Reddit. Referencing the part of the mapwhereElden Ring’s protagonist starts their journey, a user said, “After so many years of preparation, you are ready to take on Limgrave, don’t you think?” Another reply jokingly called the hours logged in by the player as “Rookie numbers.” Giving a nod to one of the popular moments in the game, a user commented, “Did you find your maiden?”
After the immense success ofElden Ringand theShadow of the Erdtreeexpansion, FromSoftware is now rumored to be working on bringing a"definitive edition" ofElden Ringto the next generation of Nintendo consoles. This rumor comes at a time when the anticipation for the Nintendo Switch successor’s announcement has been growing bigger by the day. As previously confirmed by the Japanese console giant, the next Nintendo console is set to be revealed this fiscal year, in other words, by March 2025. It will be interesting to see if the long-awaited Switch successor makes one of the most decorated games in recent years finally available to Nintendo players.
