In episode three ofArcane’ssecond season, fans were introduced to a new and deadly faction, the Black Rose, andLeague of Legendsplayers may be familiar with this name. They are revealed when Amara, a member of the Piltover’s merchant guild, tries to assassinateAmbessa, and later in the episode, Mel is captured by the Black Rose manifesting in her assistant Elora.

While more can be expected to be revealed in the coming episodes, many fans will wonderwhat the Black Rose is, who they are, and what their intentions are.

Who Are The Black Rose In Arcane & League Of Legends?

In short, the Black Rose is a cabal shrouded in mystery, made up of Noxian aristocracy. Their origins, however, stretch back further than Noxus itself, with the organization at first being a pact made betweenthe pale sorceress (LeBlanc)andVladimir. Supposedly, the magic they weaved together wasso dark that red roses turned black, giving their subsequent faction its name.

Wielding dark magic from the Immortal Bastionin the modern day, these Noxian aristocrats control the empire from the shadows, furthering their own ambitions. Their reach also extends beyond Noxus, as the people of Piltover are about to find out inArcane.

Beyond magic, a complex system oftunnels and hidden doors beneath Noxusallows the Black Rose to conduct their clandestine activities in secret, and bywearing masks, members of the Black Rose areoften unknown to one another.

League Of Legends Champions Associated With The Black Rose

As theBlack Rose is based in Noxus, any champion within the region can be seen to have an association with the Black Rose, even if it is a bitter enemy.However,the followingLeague of Legendschampionsare members of the Black Rose or have strong connections with the cabal.
