As you approach one of the doors near Shu Sanctum, you’ll find that it’s locked and requires the Courtyard Key to open. Head down the nearby path, and you’ll come to a split. Do not go straight; instead, take a left, then a right immediately after. The path will lead you to the Bamboo Courtyard, where you can hear loudbanging noises caused by enemies knocking on several doorsin the vicinity. Clear out the numeroussoulslike enemiesin the area, then interact with the doors to speak with the NPCs inside the houses.
Behind one of the doors is a young boywho tells you that his parents are missing—his father went looking for his mother and little brother.The boy will ask for your help and hand you the Courtyard Key.

Take the key back to the area near the Fire Dancer and unlock the door. Be sure to eliminate any enemies in the area, including the one with a rifle stationed above. Once inside,you’ll find the Militia armor seton one of the bodies. Head into the room to also find aDamaged Letterand aRed Mercury Shoot.
