How to Get Rhubarb in Tales of the Shire
Rhubarb is a key ingredient in most of the favorite recipes of the Bywater Hobbits, soTales of the Shireplayersneed to have a steady supply of this veggie if they want to make their neighbors happy. To get Rhubarb, they will need to grow it in their gardens. Rhubarb plants can be harvested indefinitely, so planting a few of them will provide a steady supply for as long as the seasons for it (spring, summer) are active.
Players can also get more Rhubarb yield and better quality ones by plantingGarden Friendplants, which are certain herbs and flowers that help vegetables grow better. Delphinium, one of the Hobbit neighbors who lives north of Old Ruby’s house, will explain to players everything they need to know about foraging and planting flowers. So visit her whenever there’s a chance.
Players can purchase Rhubarb Seeds from Farmer Cotton in Bywater Square for 15 Coins. The vendor always has three seeds with him, and they get renewed everyday by morning. Rhubarb also requires a medium planter slot and to be watered every day, so never miss a chance to water this plant in order to harvest the most out of it. InTales of the Shire, gardening is a serious business, so if players don’t take care of their crops, they won’t have enough supplies to cook meals to invite their friends.
Now,to cook recipes with Rhubarbplayers will need to unlock them, by increasing their fellowship stat with the many residents of Bywater. The Rhaspberry and Rhubarb Cake, for example, can be acquired by reaching Fellowship Level 2 with Rossie Cotton, while the Silky Porridge with Tangy Rhubarb is unlocked automatically when completing the first Shared Meal with Orlo Proudfoot.
Remember to learn every Hobbit’s preferences and cook their favorite meals before inviting them to have a feast. The more these treats suit their tastes, the faster the Fellowship meters will increase, unlocking new rewards, decorations for the player’s home, and of course, new cooking recipes.
