How to Find the Cockroach Queen in Grounded 2
While there are a few Cockroach Queens inGrounded 2, the easiest to reach in the early game is the one hidden within theToxic Anthill. The Toxic Anthill is located in the southeastern area of the Snackbar Front area, near the corner where the map meets the Pinic Table and Grass Games sections.
To find the Cockroach Queen’s lair, players have to enter the Toxic Anthill and then turn left once they reach the first area with the toxic spray paint pools. Then, they mustkeep moving until they reach the back of the cave. The Cockroach Queen is in the last room in this cave; before players reach it, they will walk past several Cockroach Nymphs and a Cockroach. It is best to take care of them before starting the boss fight, as they might come to the queen’s rescue, making the battle harder than it needs to be.
How to Beat the Cockroach Queen in Grounded 2
When players reach the entrance of the Cockroach Queen’s lair, they will have to hop down from where they’re standing.Unlike other cockroaches inGrounded 2, the queen is hostile and will attack without being provoked. However, if it doesn’t spot them right away, they have the possibility of analyzing its cave and ambushing it.
The Cockroach Queen doesn’t have any weaknesses, so there isn’t a specific weapon that could give gamers an advantage. As long as players don’t pick a weapon or an arrow with these characteristic, they’re good to go. While there is some mold illuminating the cave, it can be difficult to see unless players are holding up a torch. Therefore, gamers should consider bringing a one-handed weapon so they can hold up a torch while fighting the Cockroach Queen.
The Cockroach Queen will release a liquid with Sizzling effect so gamers should try their best to avoid it. When it is spurring the liquid ordistracted with the player’s Buggy, this is a good chance to attack it without taking any damage.
If players get overwhelmed during this fight, they can attempt to retreat back to the cave. This allows them to create some distance, grab a bow, and hit the queen with some arrows.
Since this is early access, the Cockroach Queen can clip through walls and follow the player back into the cave. It is possible that this will be patched in the future.
The Cockroach Queen’s health bar is menacing, and it moves rather quickly, but if players practice dodging and understand when the right time to hit is, they will have no problems taking down this beast.
Cockroach Queen Drops in Grounded 2
Once the Cockroach Queen has been defeated, players can harvest its remains.The Cockroach Queen drops 1 Roach Head and 6 Roach Chunks. Additionally, if players have taken out the one in Toxic Anthill, they should grab the Toxic Anthill Optical Disk before heading out; it is on the ground next to the body that’s been knocked against the wall.
They can also rummage the body for some loot and, if they’veupgraded their Axe to Level 2, they can destroy the mushrooms at the back of the cave and grab theGloom Skewer, an incredibly speedy, Stabbing weapon that is hidden right behind them.
