A lot of the more basic materials found inGrounded 2are found by exploring the park and farming plants or other inanimate objects, such as Acorns. The more difficult materials to come by are those that are dropped by bugs, with the stronger bugs dropping the better materials.
One bug drop players will start seeing a need for early on are Acid Glands, and despite what the name implies, they are not dropped by a bug that spits acid. Only a few bugs drop Acid Glands, and they are actually easier to find than you may expect; here’s where you need to look.
Where to Get Acid Glands in Grounded 2
Acid Glands are a common drop from either of the following bugs:
Larva spawn normally throughout the park, but tend to like thearea around the Snakbarif you’re looking for them specifically. For the most part, you’ll need to wander around to find them as they don’t spawn near certain things that can make tracking them down easier.
Red Soldier Ants, on the other hand, are fairly easy to find; you’ll just need to come in ready for a fight.Ant Hills will get marked on your mapafter you find them for the first time, and just about every entrance to an Ant Hill is guarded by one or even a few Red Soldier Ants. These ants are aggressive and will attack you on sight, while having a much larger health bar than worker ants. Red Soldier Ants can also be easily identified by their size and large pincers on their mouth.
While the Red Soldier Ant will immediately attack you, fighting back will trigger the hostility of every nearby worker ant, so you’ll want to either lure it away or go in ready to fight a lot of ants at once, so bring somefully repaired armor. Other potential drops from Red Soldier Ants include the following, which are both great for making new armor:
Do Red Soldier Ants Respawn?
Red Soldier Antsdo respawn after a couple of in-game days. After visiting an Anthill, it will be marked on your map, making the return journey even easier, especiallyif you died there. Red Soldier Ants are by far the best farming method to get Acid Sacks, and if you use a bow and arrow, they will often move at you slowly, letting you take out most of their health bar before they even reach you.
