Agatha All Along Producer Reveals What Happened To the Series' Post-Credits Scenes

While not allMCU projects have a post-credits scene, it has become something of a hallmark of Marvel Studios' titles. However,Agatha All Alonghas no extra footage after the credits roll. It turns out that showrunner Jac Schaeffer did write a few post-credits scenes for the end ofAgatha All Along, but they did not make it into the final cut. “Ultimately, it was a Marvel decision not to have a tag on this show,” Schaeffer toldEntertainment Weeklyin an interview.

“I wrote a number of post-credit scenes, as I’ve done on every Marvel project I’ve ever worked on, because it’s the thing that changes the most and goes the longest as a question mark until you’re finally confronted with it. Ultimately, it was a Marvel decision not to have a tag on this show.”

At the end ofAgatha All Along, Billy and Agatha reconcile their conflicts. Agatha refuses to pass on because she is afraid to face her son, Nicky, so Billy asks her if she will be his guide. The last moments see Billy and ghost Agatha leaving her house in Westview together and begin their search for Billy’s long-lost brother, Tommy. Billy was able to use hismagical powers to locate Tommy’s souland place it into the body of a drowning teenage boy, but his exact location remains unknown.

Given the series’ ending, many are now expecting Agatha and Billy toshow up again in some form in the MCU, but where is the question?WandaVisionwill soon receive a secondspin-off series inVision Quest, in which Paul Bettany will return to play his Avengers character, Vision. This would be the most logical place for Billy to reappear as it would reunite him with his father, however, Schaeffer played coy on this in the Entertainment Weekly interview, revealing she couldn’t “speak to the direct handoff to the Vision show.”

It’s unclear what exactly was written intoAgatha All Along’spost-credit scenes that led to them being culled from the series. Marvel is notoriously secretive and is perhaps wary of introducing elements in post-credits scenes that may never eventuate. There have been a string of tags at the end ofrecent Marvel films that are yet to pay off, so perhaps this is a case of the studio playing it safe.
