As Act 2 of Episode: Echoes is coming to an end,Destiny 2is slowing down a bit in anticipation for the final Act of the Episode. Yet, while some players may be taking a well-earned break until then,Destiny 2’s 2024 Solstice eventhas some goodies that players may want to come back to grab while they’re still available.
Above all else, the weapons this year are arguably the highlight of the new Solstice event inDestiny 2. However, there’s still some fun to be had obtaining the new armor ornaments and Solstice Momento as well, making this event worth playing. Even if Guardians aren’t interested in playing the featured Solstice activity, it’s not a bad idea to pick up some of the new Solstice Forge bounties to passively get some extra loot while playing any other activity inDestiny 2in the meantime anyway.
Destiny 2’s 2024 Solstice event will be available from August 13 to August 27.
Destiny 2’s New 2024 Solstice Event Is Loaded with Good Loot
Every Weapon in Destiny 2’s Solstice 2024 Event
Some of these weapons are returning weapons from past Solstice Events, except this time around in The Final Shape era ofDestiny 2, the 2024 Solstice weapons have all been updated to have some of the latest meta weapon-perks in the game. Also, with these being new weapons, they are all able to be enhanced. So, considering that these weapons not only have access to some of the meta perks but can also be enhanced, there are some pretty nuttyPvE and PvP god-rolls for the 2024 Solstice weaponsthat could make a fine addition to the player’s collection.
Destiny 2’s 2024 Solstice Event Features New Armor Sets
Beyond the new weapons, there are also new 2024 Solstice armor and Kindled Solstice armor sets for players to obtain for each of the three character classes, as well as a groovy new Solstice Momento that can apply an exclusive shader to weapons. These armor sets will turn into ornaments for their respective character class after players earn them. So, even for players who aren’t the least concerned with chasingthe new meta inDestiny 2, fashion enthusiasts can still get some worthwhile rewards from the 2024 Solstice Event while it’s still around.
Destiny 2’s 2024 Solstice Forge Bounties Are a Refreshing Change
Normally players are encouraged to play the featured Seasonal event activity and to use specific loadouts inDestiny 2to complete event bounties, but the 2024 Solstice Forge bounties do away with all of these unnecessary restrictions. With the new Forge bounties, players have the option to choose from a wide variety of objectives to complete, giving players nearly infinite freedom in what weapons and Subclasses to use, as well as what activities to complete toearn rewards from the 2024 Solstice Event.
As long as players have an active Forge bounty, this can passively reward players with some of the new Solstice gear while playing any activity. So, even though the featured activity is generally the most productive way to progress in the Solstice Event, players can still earn exclusive loot from the event while going about their usual, routine activities inDestiny 2, notably includingTrials of Osirisamong other PvP and endgame PvE activities. Ultimately, the new Solstice event is a great time for players to earn some of the new, exclusive loot, whether this means grinding the featured Bonfire Bash activity, or just keeping stocked up on bounties to multitask and earn some extra loot on the side of some of the regular activities.
