Wuthering Waves' Steam Deck incompatibility issuesdate back to April, when the game first launched on Steam. Players who tried running it on Valve’s handheld console encountered an Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) error that prevented them from logging in. Acknowledging the problem, the devs at Kuro Games assured fans they would resolve the compatibility issue and help make its gacha game Steam Deck-compatible as soon as possible.
Now, ahead ofWuthering Waves Update 2.5, it appears Kuro Games has fulfilled its promise, quietly making the game “playable” on the Steam Deck. While it may still require some manual tweaks on the handheld for optimal performance, it will hopefully no longer run into ACE errors or other game-breaking issues. Luckily, the game supports cross-progression, so all players need to do is log into their account on the Steam Deck to access their save files.
