Through a series of social media posts,Wuthering Waveshas confirmed Augusta and Iuno’s release in Version 2.6. Augusta will be a 5-Star Electro unit who wields a Broadblade, while Iuno will be a 5-Star Aero Gauntlets character. Per the order of their drip marketing, Augusta will likely debut during the first half of Version 2.6, and Iuno will follow in the second phase. Both units were previously revealed in May, alongside Phrolova and three otherupcoming characters inWuthering Waves. Augusta was presented as a prominent leader of Septimont during the Grand Agon arc and Kuro Games describes her as the “undefeated gladiator.” Iuno is a well-known Priestess and gives Augusta advice on important decisions.

Wuthering Waves Reveal Augusta and Iuno for Version 2.6

Since Augusta and Iuno appeared in the 2.4 main story, many fans expected them to join the playable roster in the 2.5 patch, but the update was heavily centered around Phrolova. Version 2.6 is expected to launch in late August, so players won’t have to wait too long for the new 5-Stars. On the other hand, fans have recently shared their concerns aboutWuthering Waves' gameplay disparity, specifically regarding team compositions. For example, Phrolova’s kit disappointed some players because of her evident reliance on Cantarella. Another phenomenon that fans have criticized is the current lack of 4-Star characters, as there hasn’t been a new one since December 2024. Kuro Games hasn’t released promotional images for any characters besides Augusta and Iuno’s, so Version 2.6 isn’t expected to launch new 4-Stars either.

In the past,Wuthering Waveshas been praised by fans for its quick response to feedback. Hopefully, future patches will address players' concerns about upcoming units. Before Version 2.5 wraps up, players can pull for Phrolova and Roccia inWuthering Waves' current banners, or wait for Brant and Cantarella’s rerun in Phase 2.
